GIG HARBOR, Wash. — Washington Water Service (Washington Water), has canceled the precautionary boil water advisory issued in the Doe Bay Water Users Association Water System it operates, after water quality test results confirmed that water quality was not impacted by Monday’s main break.

“Out of an abundance of caution, any time water pressure drops significantly, we test water samples to ensure water quality was not negatively affected,” said General Manager Matthew Brown. “We want to thank residents for their patience as we worked to ensure it was safe for them to resume normal water use.”

Washington Water serves approximately 36,000 customer connections in over 200 water systems throughout the state. One of the largest regulated water utilities in the state, Washington Water (previously as Harbor Water and South Sound Utilities) has provided water service there since 1970. Washington Water is a subsidiary of California Water Service Group (NYSE: CWT). Additional information may be obtained online at www.wawater.com.
