||| FROM BRUCE HANNA |||
Einstein imagined
traveling faster than time
on a trolley approaching a large clock
Say the trolley was a mile away…
several clicks of the minute hand
would occur before the trolley got there
But if the trolley moved twice as fast…
only half the amount of time would pass
and at the speed of light, no time would pass
Let’s reverse the imagery
Imagine slowing the perception of time
close to zero
For those of us fortunate
to be retired
past needing to earn a living
There’s always enough time
to think
care – feel
Have a beer
love life
discover calm
open the moment to peace
Have a slow day
Take time out
of the equation of life

One of the greatest joys of retirement – slowing down, being present where we are. Nicely done, Bruce.
