Parade also kicks off the annual Mayoral race

In the tradition of Memorial Day celebrations on Orcas Island, Pawki’s and Orcas Island Children’s House invite you to join in the 33rd Annual Pet Parade on Saturday, May 27 at 10 a.m.
Locals and visitors are sure to have a fun time as the menagerie of animals parade through the streets; starting at the public school, winding through town, and ending at the Eastsound Village Green.
Those who would like to bring animals from home and show them off should meet at the public school courtyard for registration at 9 a.m. Pets dressed in costume will be judged for one of many categories. The parade culminates with a presentation of ribbons, trophies, and gift certificate prizes from Pawki’s.
Attached, please find a registration form for the event. This will kick off the Annual Honorary Mayor of Eastsound Race this year, with candidates officially announced on Saturday as well. Please help spread the word. All are welcome!
