— from Anne Presson for Orcas Health Care District —

As of December 1, 2018, the Orcas Island Health Care District (OIHCD) entered into an agreement with the Municipal Research and Services Center of Washington (MRSC) for the creation and maintenance of a Small Public Works Roster, Consultant Roster, and Vendor Roster. MRSC Rosters will be hosting our individual rosters in their online database, posting the biannual roster legal notice on behalf of the District, and assisting businesses with registration in the system. The first biannual legal notice was published in the January 9t edition of the Journal of the San Juan Islands.

The OIHCD encourages local vendors to apply for membership in the MRSC Rosters to be eligible for public works projects in 2019. Service categories include construction, building, renovation, remodeling, alteration, repair, or improvement of real property as referenced in RCW 39.04.155. The online process is simple and FREE, and businesses are usually approved within a few days after submitting an application. Interested businesses should select the Orcas Island Health Care District when setting up your account, and you may apply at any time by visiting the MRSC Rosters website at www.mrscrosters.org.

For registration questions, please contact MRSC Rosters at mrscrosters@mrsc.org or 206-436-3798. If you have questions about OIHCD projects, contact Superintendent Presson directly at annep@orcashealth.org.

The OIHCD will post active public works bids and Request for Proposals, contract awards, and other projects updates on the website. Please visit www.orcashealth.org for details.
