Join WSU San Juan County Extension for a workshop with Dr. Carol Miles, Extension organic vegetable specialist and researcher. Learn the latest on soil management, veggie varieties suited to the San Juans, season extension, diseases and pests, crop rotation, seed saving, biodegradable alternatives to plastic mulch, and more. We’ll also visit an Orcas farm to practice vegetable grafting—a new, cutting-edge technique that boosts the performance of heirloom tomatoes and eggplants.

Friday, June 10, 11am-4:30pm at the Eastsound Fire Station, Orcas Island

The cost is $20 before June 6; $25 after June 6. Pre-registration required. Register at  https://sanjuan.wsu.edu or contact Candace at 370 7664 or candace_jagel@wsu.edu. Call Candace if you need a ride!
