Orcastrazz Swing Band entertains with Ken Speck at the podium

Contributed by Karen Key Speck

The holidays are a time for sharing and a lot of people are coming together to benefit many.  Orcatrazz Swing Band’s 18 members are donating their time December 10th to perform at Orcas Center.  The event is a catered dinner and dance to raise money for the Orcas Family Health Center’s “Care For All Fund” and X-Ray Fund.

Tickets are $25 per person.  Each ticket provides a veggie or meat lasagna, bread, salad, beverage and dessert.  Plus, there’s the great sounds of big band music for dancers and non-dancers alike.  This is the third year the event has been held and it’s always a festive time for all.

New this year is a silent auction where you can bid on merchandise which might be perfect for your holiday gift-giving.  The dinner/dance is sponsored by the Board of OFHC and all expenses are covered by donations from members and contributors.  All monies from tickets purchased go directly to the worthy OFHC programs.

Tickets are on sale now at Kay’s Antiques, Eastsound Instruments and Music, Cherie L. Lindholm Real Estate and the Orcas Family Health Center, west of the airport.

Buy a ticket and come eat and be merry Friday, December 10th, 7:00-10:00pm
