Orcas Issues contacted Sheriff Ron Krebs this evening to verify that that our Orcas Island black bear has been captured and removed from the island.
The bear was taken off island on the 5 p.m. sailing to Anacortes. Details are still unknown until the Sheriff’s Office is updated.
Particulars will be reported as they become available.
