Myhr and Stephens race close
In San Juan County issues, Rob Nou has a commanding lead of 4, 113 votes over Brent Johnson’s 2,183 in the race for County Sheriff; and the votes upholding the fireworks ordinance passed by the county council last year appear to outnumber the votes rejecting that ordinance.

A close race has developed between Bob Myhr and Jamie Stephens to represent Lopez and Shaw Islands on the County Council (628 to 610).
The race for national representatives show that San Juan County voters preferred incumbent Senator Patty Murray to Dino Rossi 4267 to 2441 votes. As of 8:30 a.m. Nov. 3, that race was still undecided, with Murray leading by 14,000 votes.
It may be days before Congressional District incumbent Rick Larsen- John Koster race is decided. As of 11 p.m. Nov. 2, Koster led the race by a 1,400-vote margin, as reported by NBC News.
The tabulation of ballots in the 40th district show Kris Lytton ahead of Mike Newman (19,072 to 15,311) and Jeff Morris ahead of John Swopp (19,012 go 15,426).

So did the Orcas Rec. vote pass or not? It was approved by the voter but hasn’t received 60%, so it did not pass. Correct?
Didier,
Correct. The Parks and Rec distirct did not pass. I encourage all of those who voted yes or no, but especially no, to attend the next Parks and Rec District board meeting to attend and offer their comments and assistance to the seated comissioners.
