Queer New Year is approaching

Mark your calendars! Orcas Pride’s Queer New Year is only two weeks away! Keep reading to find out the amazing events we have planned – get your tickets now, while supplies last!

 Find below a timeline of all the events happening and help us ring in the new year with style!

PRE-PRIDE PLANNING!
Papier-mâché Paradise
Every good event has a pre-game! Join us on Tuesday and Wednesday next week from 4 to 7PM and create beautiful pieces with us for this year’s celebrations! This is an all ages and free event!

FRIDAY, MAY 30TH
The Main Event

Join us at Odd Fellows Hall the evening of May 30th for THE BIG SLAY!

Drag, friends, and music – come to the club and get your dance on! Party the night away and see all your favorites perform, plus local drag LEGENDS.

Tickets start at $20, and will be available at the door for cash – but don’t wait too long!

Doors open at 7PM, and the event starts at 7:30PM. These events will be alcohol-free and are 18+. Bring cash to tip your queens and for the mocktail bar, though!

THE BIG SLAY TICKETS!
The After-Party
QUEER-AOKE
Join us after The Big Slay at the Lower Taven for some queer karaoke hosted by the lovely Shiksa Mess! No cover charge. The after-party rages from 9:30PM to midnight!

SATURDAY, MAY 31ST
The Main Event

Join us for an evening of drag from several talented performers, including the hit returning queens plus some local island drag all stars!

This event is a dinner theatre, and includes a 5-course dinner served by The West Side Kitchen and dessert from Seabird Bakeshop.

Tickets are a sliding scale, with a minimum of $75. There will be NO DOOR SALES for this event. Get your tickets now – they’re only available until May 26th!
This event will be alcohol-free, but there will be a mocktail bar, so bring your cash – plus, you’ll need it to tip your queens!

The After-Party
NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY!
Join us after the Dinner Theatre at the Lower Taven for the one and only:
QUEER NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY!
There will be music DJ’d by the amazing Rowan Ruthless, so come ready to dance the night away! Doors open at 9PM, and there is a suggested cover charge of $5.
If you make it to midnight, the Lower is having a champagne toast!
There’s also a costume contest! Come dressed your most opulent and earn top prize!

SUNDAY, JUNE 1ST
The Main Event
Join us after the weekend of celebrations for some more relaxed fun at Odd Fellows Hall on Sunday afternoon from 12 to 3PM!
UhOh XOXO and some of the amazing local performers will put on quite a show!
This event will be ALL-AGES and FREE, so bring everyone you know – kids, adults, elders, everyone! Let’s finish the New Year’s Weekend off with some community fun!
