You are invited to attend a citizens group meeting on Orcas April 26th, 3:30 -6 p.m., Eastsound Fire Hall. 45 Lavender Hollow, Orcas.
We have scheduled a meeting of local businesses and citizens that have issues with San Juan County DCD department and the administration running it. We have a list of discussion items to present to the council as they seemed unaware of the problems that have come up.
I would like to thank everyone that came to the meeting, especially Cindy Wolf. We had a wide ranging group of about 50 people representing various different trades.
The discussion was cordial and geared to showcasing the growing frustration of the community when dealing with DCD and permitting issues. We look forward to extending the conversation with interested parties and strive to find solutions to the issues at hand.
