||| FROM BOBBIE TUSON |||
I don’t have a car, and I am happy at 88 to not be driving…but I needed to get there! Island Rides Orcas came to my rescue. I called 360-672-2201 and a friendly volunteer driver answered.
They are on duty every day from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m! I was picked up at my home in a cute little blue electric car. It was very clean inside and out.
I was delivered to the foot clinic with a smile and a promise (that was kept) to pick me up and take me back home in an hour.
Thank you Island Rides, and thank you Foot Clinic.

You are aware, I would think, that there has been for some time an equally friendly and dependable ride service for elders and handicapped non-drivers called Door-to-Door, a free service that Lahari still supports. You can register with them and then let them know any time you need a ride….to anything. Friendly volunteers do the job.
You need to register with them. orcasdoortodoor.org
You can check in with them: Call 360-622-2929 to have the packet mailed to you.
Good luck…
