— from Winnie Adams —

Poke Haffner spent 35 years of her law career in Alaska. The last 4 years were devoted to representing the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. In Alaska many places cannot be reached except by air travel. This work gave her a profound respect for the importance of small ports in small communities.

It gave her thorough experience in the kinds of issues that can plague these small ports.

And it showed her the importance of good local governance in the running of these facilities.

Most of all, she grew deeply familiar with the ways of community and the power of people to take charge locally and solve their own conundrums among themselves. No one can understand a local situation better than those who deal with it on a daily basis.

Poke is running for Orcas Port Commissioner.

She would be an excellent choice for your vote.

It is important that you vote and that you vote for Poke Haffner.

She has experience you want on our port commission.
