PRINCETON, NJ – Moose Kinsey, a performer from Orcas Island, Washington, shines in the Princeton Triangle Club’s latest original musical comedy, Pageant Pending. Premiered in November 2024 at McCarter Theatre, the show, directed by Sam Hay, embarked on a US tour of eight cities in January 2025 and has an encore performance Memorial Day Weekend at McCarter Theatre.

Kinsey, a freshman majoring in Mechanical Engineering, plays the Mayor of Mercator, Idaho who unexpectedly hosts the America’s Most Wanted Pageant and he stars as the outlandish Pageant Judge and Dwayne “The Scissors” Johnson, in this satirical take on beauty pageants. Moose acts, sings, and dances in this wild and fun comedy.  As a member of one of the nation’s oldest collegiate musical-comedy troupes, Kinsey joins a legacy of performers like Jimmy Stewart, entertaining audiences since 1891.

The Princeton Triangle Club boasts a storied history, with notable alumni like F. Scott Fitzgerald, José Ferrer, Wayne Rogers and Jimmy Stewart. Moose Kinsey’s participation highlights Orcas Island’s vibrant arts community on a national stage. Moose auditioned and was selected to join the club thanks to the training he received as a participant in Orcas Center productions,,The Actors Theater of Orcas Island, Rock on the Rock Choir, Boys Choir and Orcas Dance Collective performances.
