— from Jim & Betsy Nelson —
We are writing to support Greg Ayers for Port Commissioner. Greg will be an effective leader of our Port.
He is dedicated to sharing information and listening to the community—he has taken advantage of opportunities to share his thoughts on the Port, the Master Plan and on sustainability of Port operations. More important, he has listened to and interacted with the community. He has responded to questions from community members in public forums, has had one-on-one conversations, and provides information on his website. As Port Commissioner, he will continue his established practice of working to keep the community informed.
The Port will benefit greatly from Greg’s strong analytical mind. He can quickly process information from a variety of sources, and distill it down to actionable items. Greg will ensure that the community’s basic needs from the Port are provided in a safe and cost-efficient manner, as he has done with the Sewer and Water District.
Finally, Greg delivers. Over the last decade, he has brought innovative ideas to fruition in our community. He knows how to provide oversight and guidance that gets results. This was notably exhibited during finalizing the Eastsound sub-area plan when he served as the chair of EPRC.
Please vote for Greg Ayers, a responsible, capable leader for our Port.
