DHBridgeUpdateMotorists will continue to use the existing bridge for at least another week as the contractor begins assembling the temporary bridge this week.

Grading of the new roadway alignment of Channel Road continues on the west side of the bridge.

Safety First!
Construction equipment and activities are loud, exciting, and hard to ignore! However, if you are driving or walking across the existing bridge, please refrain from stopping to view construction activities, as this puts you at risk from drivers who might not expect or see you there. Pedestrians are asked to stay out of construction areas, even when no construction activity is visible. Also, please stay on finished or paved areas to ensure solid footing.

Safety remains of the utmost importance in and around the Deer Harbor Bridge Replacement project, which is a construction zone 24 hours a day.
