Delight in a night of art, wine and hands on inspiration with acclaimed Orcas Island artist, Brook Meinhardt, as you explore the contemporary works of Jean-Michel Basquiat. You will learn about where he came from, what inspired him, who he was, and his significant influence on modern art. We will be creating three pieces of art in this class. All materials will be provided so all you have to bring is yourself and your imagination. No experience is necessary.

$100 per spot. Includes materials, supplies for three pieces of your own modern art, one glass of wine, and food from Voyager Sandwiches & Seafood – FUN & YUM! 100% of this fee will benefit AOK – ART FOR ORCAS KIDS- to help support art programs in our public schools.

Brook Meinhardt is an acclaimed freelance illustrator, portrait artist and contemporary artist. A native New Yorker who has called Orcas Island home while she’s raised her children, her impressive resume includes work for many national magazines, newspapers, and brands with a significant amount of time in the fashion industry.
