Ana/SJs – UPDATE – Anacortes/San Juan Island Service Resumes
Service on the Anacortes/San Juan Island routes resumes with several unscheduled eastbound departures from the islands. M/V Yakima in Friday Harbor, M/V Elwha on Orcas Island, and M/V Samish on Lopez will load vehicles and depart to Anacortes immediately. Updates regarding the schedule for the remainder of the day will be provided shortly. For all upcoming sailings, reservation holders for any sailing will be loaded on a first come first served basis.

**********

All service to and from the Anacortes terminal is currently suspended until further notice due to emergency response issues.

Due to the emergency, the ferry Elwha is returning passengers to Shaw Island and Orcas Island, the ferry Yakima is being held at Friday Harbor on San Juan Island and the ferry Samish is delayed into Lopez Island, where it will remain until further notice. The ferry Tillikum will continue to provide inter-island service.

The Anacortes terminal remains closed for an emergency search and rescue incident. Service to and from Anacortes is expected to be suspended for several more hours. All vessels with inbound Anacortes sailings have returned to departure terminals. When service resumes, reservation holders are prioritized on a first come, first served basis. “No show” fees will not be charged for any reservations departing or arriving at the Anacortes terminal. Inter-island will continue to operate as scheduled.

We advise limiting discretionary travel for the remainder of the day due to long delays and backups expected when service resumes. Schedule details will be provided when clearance to return to service is received.
