Because school music matters

Orcas Island Music Advocacy Group (MAG) is participating in the OICF Holiday Catalog this year, raising money to purchase music chair storage carts for the public school music program!
The carts will securely hold large stacks of the music chairs that students use daily, keeping the students and the chairs safe (no tall, tippy stacks of chairs to move around), free up space in the music rooms so students have more room to spread out and practice in groups, and help to save time when setting up and breaking down concerts.
To give online, go to Orcas Island Community Foundation’s catalog website at giveorcas.org/ and scroll down to the red button that says “SCHOOL MUSIC MATTERS.” Every bit helps the children, starting from $10.
Thursday, December 9 is a very special day on which to donate because the grant request which amasses the most unique donors gets a $1,000 bonus!
Since 1997, Orcas Island Music Advocacy Group (MAG) has helped to support our public school music programs. Founding MAG member Catherine Pederson said, “I just believed that every child should have an opportunity to experience music.”
The music students and MAG appreciate your participation in helping support school music on Orcas Island! Learn more about
