The Farm to Cafeteria Program is taking another healthy leap by committing to a purchase of fresh local organic ground beef – 300 pounds of which will be arriving November 1.

Like most things, however, there are issues that crop up when a commitment of any kind is made, and this was no exception.  We find that our available freezer space is limited to the point that we will need an additional freezer to accommodate this and future purchases.

Before we search for and purchase one, we wanted to give our community a chance to unload a used (but in good operating condition) chest or upright freezer someone may have around that’s just taking up space.  A capacity of approximately 12.8 cubic feet is needed.  If you are able to help, please call Madie Murray at 376-3064 as soon as possible.
