Orcas Christian School (OCS) wrapped up its winter season with a lively, laughter-filled Winter Spirit Week, giving students five days of creative fun and friendly competition.

Throughout the week, students participated in themed dress-up days designed to build school spirit and encourage classwide involvement. Monday kicked things off with Twin Day, followed by Pajama Day on Tuesday. On Wednesday, hallways were filled with familiar faces from the big screen during Movie Character Day. Thursday brought plenty of laughs with Dress Like Your Teacher Day, and the week wrapped up Friday with the ever-popular Anything But a Backpack Day.

Each day, the school’s Student Association tracked participation from every classroom, rewarding enthusiasm and teamwork. The class with the highest participation at the end of the week earned the chance to smash whipped-cream pies into the faces of several willing staff members, including Principal Kyler Morgan, high school teacher Andy Rivera, junior high teacher Caleb Bryan, and school chaplain Pastor Andre Rodrigues.

Competition was fierce, but in the end, the kindergarten class claimed victory with an impressive 100% participation throughout the week. Their excitement was evident, with one kindergarten student eagerly declaring, “I can’t wait to pie Mr. Morgan.”

Principal Kyler Morgan took the impending pies in stride, saying, “I’m not thrilled to get a pie in the face, but it’s worth it to see more students engage in fun school spirit activities.”

Winter Spirit Week proved to be a joyful reminder of the strong sense of community at Orcas Christian School, bringing students and staff together through creativity, laughter, and school pride.
