Orcas School students and staff honor the many volunteers who make it happen
From the Orcas Island Elementary School
The staff and students of Orcas Elementary held an assembly on Monday morning, June 18, to thank the numerous volunteers who haven given so many hours of time to our school and students.
This year over 150 islanders volunteered their time at the elementary school. Poems and inspirational quotes were shared with the volunteers by the 6th grade class and the entire school serenaded sang an original song titled “Thank You, Thank You” written by Martin Lund.
