Sonic SeaUpdate: The venue has changed for the Sonic Sea screening to the San Juan Island Grange. Thanks to the Grange for their generosity in helping make this important film available in a larger space with excellent acoustics and an advanced sound system.

The Whale Museum is pleased to welcome Michael Jasny of Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) as part of the 2016 Summer Lecture Series on Tuesday, August 30th at 6:30 p.m. Cetaceans have evolved physically to use sound as their main communication tool to find food, mate, travel and to defend themselves from predators. These basic functions are being seriously undermined by the acoustic disturbances caused by commercial, industrial and military activities.
