Early last night, I received word that Dorothy Austin passed over into the next world. Following is my Tribute to an amazing woman who lived with and overcame great obstacles that would have been daunting to most people. She had Courage.

Warrior For Our Mother Earth
Clarion Caller To Orcas Island
Raven Sister
Artist Of Dreams Into Action
Visionary For The New Earth
Compassionate Woman

I Will Miss Your Presence
I Will Miss Your Integrity
I Will Miss Your Expression Of Art
I Will Miss Your LOVE IN ACTION For Orcas Island

Because Of You, I Am A Better, Stronger, More Confident
And Determined Protector Of Our Earth Mother
I Love You Raven Sister
Fly High With The Eagles, Dorothy, On Wings Of Pure Light

Bless you, Spirit Eagle. You got it just right. I hope that if there is a next world, it is full of madrona trees, eagles, ravens, oyster catchers, and people who love Dorothy as much as we do.

I am sorry about Dorothy Austin. She truly loved this island.
She may have irritated some, I remember the bumper stickers, so I hope Dorothy is now “home”.
