About the Young Eagles Program

The EAA Young Eagles program was founded in 1992 with a simple but powerful mission: to provide meaningful flight experiences free of charge to inspire the next generation of aviators. Since its inception, over 2.5 million young people have taken their first flight through this program, making it the largest youth aviation program in the world.

Each year, EAA sets aside International Young Eagles Day to encourage chapters and members worldwide to share their passion for aviation with young people in their communities. This special day brings together volunteer pilots, aircraft owners, and aviation enthusiasts to introduce youth to the excitement and possibilities of flight.

Weather permitting. In case of inclement weather, the event may be postponed.

Come discover the joy of flight and join the ranks of future aviators on International Young Eagles Day!
