Wearing Red to show Support for Education, local public school supporters rallied at the Orcas ferry landing on Sunday, May 17
Senator Kevin Ranker joins public education supporters at the “Wear Red for Ed.” rally on May 17
Orcas teachers, admin, staff, friends and family, PLUS even Senator Kevin Ranker came out to support Washington State Schools today, [May 17]. Here we all are wearing red for Education at the Orcas ferry landing. We waved to all the cars that arrived and departed from 11:45 a.m.to 1 p.m. and handed out flyers.
It was nice to hear the honks of support and see all the thumbs up and fist pumps from everyone. Contact your legislators and tell them to fully fund education in the state of Washington.
In a small way, I wanted to show solidarity but couldn’t get away from mowing, so I greeted the 2:45pm arrival stream into Eastsound at the corner of LL and Main. I WORE RED FOR ED!
