By Krista Stahl, DVSAS staff

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Service (DVSAS) is holding its annual 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 7th.

The event is open to all ages and abilities in an effort to generate energy and awareness towards ending violence in our community. Dogs are welcome too!

Participants are encouraged to raise money and awareness by gaining pledges from friends and family to help support DVSAS. The race will start and finish in front of the public school. Registration is $10 and long sleeve shirts are $15. Pre-registration and pledge forms will distributed at local businesses throughout town. They are also available at the DVSAS office located in the Airport Center.

Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. in the covered outside play area at the school. The race starts at 10 a.m. rain or shine. For more information contact Krista Stahl at 376-5979 or email krista.dvsas@gmail.com
