September 17, 2014

14-005780: Unwanted Person– A Lopez deputy responded to Fisherman Bay Road concerning a car that was parked in the area with someone living in it. The deputy checked the car and no one was around. Case remains open.

September 18, 2014

14-005796: Agency Assist– San Juan deputies responded to a reported Order Violation. The deputies met the incoming boat and determined there was no Order Violation based on the language of the Protection Order.

September 19, 2014

14-005801: Traffic Hazard– A Lopez Deputy responded to a school bus that was causing a hazard after it broke down in the travel lane. The students were safely transported to school and the problem was corrected.

14-005802: Parking Problem– A Lopez deputy responded to the ferry landing on a reported parking issue. The owner was contacted and removed the vehicle in a timely manner.

14-005803: Boating– An Orcas deputy responded to Judd Cove concerning a boater mooring his vessel on a private buoy. On the 20th the deputy contacted the boat owner and advised him of where he could find long term moorage.

14-005809: Theft– An Orcas deputy contacted a ferry worker concerning two dogs that were reported missing on Orcas Island. The ferry worker believes the dog at the landing on September 14th may have been the missing dog. The investigation continues.

14-005812: Animal Problem– An Orcas deputy responded to a report chicken killed by a dog. There was no direct evidence of what dog made to attack. Case closed

14-005818: Hit and Run Accident– Friday Harbor deputies responded to a reported hit and run accident at the Pacific Pride. The victim provided a good description of the driver and the vehicle involved in the accident. The deputies attempt to contact the driver without success. Case remains open

14-005820: Harassment– A San Juan deputy responded to a reported harassment. The victim was receiving unwanted contact from another party. Case remains under investigation.

September 20, 2014

14-005825: Vandalism– A San Juan deputy responded to a reported vandalism to the victim’s vehicle. The damage, a broken windshield and dented door caused by a brick fond nearby and the convertible top was cut. There is no suspect information at this time.  Case remains open.

14-005837: Weapons Offense– A San Juan deputy responded to the airport center parking lot where a male subject was seen with a handgun in a holster making, what appeared to be threatening gestures to the victim. The suspect had left the area prior to the deputy’s arrival.

September 21, 2014

14-005841: Unwanted Person– A Lopez deputy responded to an unwanted person on Center Road. The suspect was intoxicated and refusing to leave the premise. The suspect is facing charges of trespass, disorderly conduct, assault and resisting arrest. The case is being reviewed.

14-005844: Suspicious Circumstance– An Orcas deputy responded to the Orcas Hotel and was told the complainant overheard four male subjects speaking about how to be evasive when being questioned by people. Three of the males appeared to be “Arabic” and the fourth was a “white male with a heavy Russian accent.” This information was shared with the proper authorities.

14-005850: Found Property– A San Juan deputy responded to the Friday Harbor Suites and picked up a firearm that had been left behind by a customer.

14-005851: Harassment– An Orcas deputy responded to the Island Market on a report of harassment. The victim complained there were two people following him and photographing and videotaping him. One of the suspects was contacted and advised to stop the behavior.

14-005852: Welfare Check– An Orcas deputy responded to a report of women walking down the road alone. Prior to the deputy’s arrival the woman was picked up by her husband. The deputy contacted the husband and determined the female was alright.

September 22, 2014

14-005865: Welfare Check– An Orcas deputy responded a reported delusional female. The deputy and the woman’s son searched the area for her. The woman was found at a neighbor’s home and then was returned to her own home.

14-005866: Suspicious– An Orcas deputy responded to a business in Eastsound concerning a male subject who was acting suspicious while in the business. There was no apparent criminal activity.

14-005874: Citizen Dispute– An Orcas deputy contacted a female subject at the station concerning her desire to leave her home with her children in order to prevent any arguments when her husband returned and to make sure she would not be committing any crimes in doing so.

September 23, 2014

14-005880: Injury Accident– An Orcas deputy responded to an accident on Olga Road. According to a witness the involved vehicle swerved off the roadway twice before hitting a tree. The driver was flown off island. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

14-005885: Theft– An Orcas deputy responded to a reported theft of address sign from a post on Grindstone Harbor Road. There is no suspect information at this time.
