15-003950 Traffic Stop 09:50:35 07/15/15: An Orcas Deputy initiated a traffic stop in Eastsound on a male driver for fail to wear a seat belt. It was discovered driver was suspended and had a warrant. Driver was taken in custody.
15-003951 Death Investigation 09:58:58 07/15/15: Deputy responded to a report of an 89 year old male that was the subject of an aid call. The San Juan aid unit along with Paramedic Ryan Nelson attempted CPR on the victim but he was unresponsive.
15-003952 Fraud 10:25:25 07/15/15: Roche Harbor resort reported an unknown female used a stolen credit card to purchase items at the gift shop.
15-003963 Accident-HitRun 17:41:14 07/15/15: A deputy responded to a report of a hit and run collision in parking lot of the Island Market. No suspect vehicle information available.
15-003965 Injury 18:26:57 07/15/15: A deputy was dispatched to the 5300 block of Orcas Road on a possible DUI involving an off highway vehicle on private property. A passenger sustained a moderate / severe injury to his leg and was flown off for treatment. This case did not meet the criteria for a DUI.
15-003966 Trespassing 20:26:16 07/15/15: A Deputy received a report of a trespass in the 100 block of Moon Ridge Rd. The suspect was contacted and was given a trespass warning.

15-003975 Traffic Stop 08:16:37 07/16/15: An Orcas deputy initiated a traffic stop in Eastsound. The driver was issued an infraction for failure to wear seat belt.
15-003977 Agency Assistance 09:04:39 07/16/15: A Deputy responded to the vicinity 1100 block of Channel Road to check for a sail boat that had reportedly washed up on the beach. The vessel was located and it appeared the line used to anchor it to a buoy had snapped during high winds. The owner was located and she made arrangements to have it retrieved.
15-003986 Lost Property 13:51:32 07/16/15: An Eastsound resident reported losing her medication.
15-003990 Accident-HitRun 15:25:38 07/16/15: A deputy was contacted while on patrol in Eastsound by a citizen who witnessed a reported hit and run traffic collision. The suspect driver was located and her information was provided to the victim.
15-003991 Weapons Offense 16:17:22 07/16/15: Lopez deputies were dispatched to a report of someone shooting towards kayakers in the water. Upon investigation, it was determined no crime had been committed.
15-003993 Boating Problem 18:21:41 07/16/15: A Deputy received a report of a boater that used his boat in a negligent manner in Garrison Bay, by traveling at a high rate by a dock causing a wake that damaged another vessel. This case is still under investigation.
15-003994 Fall 18:25:00 07/16/15: A Deputy received a report of a person that had been injured on a boat that was in Friday Harbor. The captain of the vessel filled out a boat accident report.
15-003995 Trespassing 19:11:25 07/16/15: Deputies responded to the 5700 Block of Deer Harbor Road in regards to two trespassers. One of the persons left marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the scene. Unknown suspects took off.
15-003997 Accident-HitRun 20:12:29 07/16/15: A Deputy responded to the 900 block of Deer Harbor in regards to a hit and run accident that occurred sometime today. No suspects known. Incident report taken at owners request.
15-003999 Harassment 22:15:49 07/16/15: A Deputy received a report of a harassment that was occurred via text message and phone calls in the 400 block of Harrison St.
15-004000 Parking Problem 22:21:27 07/16/15: A Deputy issued a boat an infraction for Moorage at Pubic Landing (day use only) at the West Sound San Juan County boat dock. The boat owner was recently warned of this same violation last week.

15-004007 Court Order Violation 10:58:25 07/17/15: Deputy was called to investigate a protection order violation on San Juan Island. It was determined the protective order was violated and the Respondent was taken into custody.
15-004017 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 22:39:39 07/17/15: A Deputy received a report of a suspicious circumstance on Malcolm St. The investigation showed that an assault had occurred, however, the victim did not want to pursue charges. The suspect of the assault, a juvenile was arrested for Minor in Possession.

15-004018 Domestic Dispute or Assault 00:02:12 07/18/15: A Deputy received a report of a juvenile that was threatening suicide. The juvenile was taken to the hospital for an involuntary mental health evaluation.
15-004028 Found Property 11:24:34 07/18/15: A citizen was walking to San Juan Library when he states he found an iPOD. He brought it into the Sheriff’s Office and filed a claim in the event the owner is not located.
15-004043 Traffic Stop 21:46:47 07/18/15: Deputy stopped a vehicle for a headlight out in the 7500 blk of Orcas Road. The subject was warned for the headlight but cited for no insurance.

15-004058 Animal at Large 12:35:00 07/19/15: A deputy was dispatched to Jackson’s Beach for two vicious dogs at large. Before he arrived one of the dogs bit a kayak guide on the leg. Multiple parties reported having to chase off the dogs. With the help of the Animal Shelter and Animal Control officer, the dogs were contained and taken to the shelter.
15-004061 Fraud 14:42:14 07/19/15: An Eastsound man reported that he was a possible victim of identity theft.
15-004062 Assault – Body Force 14:51:23 07/19/15: Lopez Island deputies were set to investigate a domestic violence incident. A 53 year old Ashland, Oregon man was subsequently arrested for Assault IV-DV. He was lodged in jail in Friday Harbor pending a court appearance.
15-004065 Death Investigation 16:09:17 07/19/15: A Deputy received a report of a death investigation on Dogwood Ln. The investigation concluded that the deceased died of natural causes.
15-004069 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 19:08:37 07/19/15: A SJC sheriff deputy responded to a residence in Eastsound regarding a suspicious package in the mail. The package contained marijuana covered up with coffee grounds. The case is under further investigation.

15-004075 Burglary,NonRes 08:03:55 07/20/15: An Orcas deputy was dispatched to Eastsound to a report attempted entry into a business. No entry was made.
15-004079 Found Property 12:36:58 07/20/15: A representative of the San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce turned in a camera dropped off by a visitor to the island. No claim was filed or other info obtained. The camera images were checked, showing typical tourist images, taken possibly from a whale watch boat, in Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor.
15-004084 Burglary,NonRes 15:29:32 07/20/15: An Eastsound business reported there had been a burglary over the weekend and items were taken. Entry was made through an open window.
15-004085 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 16:24:41 07/20/15: A Lopez Island deputy investigating smoke smell during the ban on outdoor burning located the illegal fire being tended by a 60 year man wanted by Department of Corrections on an outstanding warrant no bail for Escape From Community Custody. He was arrested without incident and lodged in jail.
15-004090 Domestic Dispute or Assault 21:12:45 07/20/15: Deputies responded to Fossil Bay on Sucia Island via patrol boat to investigate loud yelling, screaming and crying on a moored vessel. Further investigation revealed the couple on the boat had received some disturbing news and no altercation took place.
Please suggest to those making the Sheriff’s Report that they consistently head each report with the appropriate Island.
