16-000085 Accident-NonInj 09:55:15 01/06/16
On 01/06/16 at 0955 hours I found a vehicle off the roadway in the area of False Bay Rd. and Bailer Hill Rd. with the driver still in the vehicle. Fire responded to assist and the driver was treated and released. Minimal vehicle damage and no reportable property damage.

A Deputy responded to Mackaye Harbor Road, Lopez Island, for a possible burglary complaint. The investigation revealed the entry resulted from a misunderstanding between the home owner’s property manager and a potential renter. No further action was taken.

16-000088 Attempted Suicide 12:16:35 01/06/16
On 01/06/16 at 1206 hours a Friday harbor resident threatened to harm himself. The Sheriffs Office located the subject and brought him to the hospital for treatment. This incident occurred in Friday Harbor.

16-000090 Accident-HitRun 13:45:13 01/06/16
On January 06, 2016 at about 1400 hours, I responded to an Eastsound residence in regards to a claimed hit and run while in Seattle. A courtesy report was taken.

On 01/07/16 a Friday Harbor resident reported having her Debit card stolen from her mailbox. The debit card was then activated and used at several locations by an unknown subject. The incident was reported to her financial institution and the account was closed. Ongoing investigation.

16-000111 Citizen Dispute 13:33:00 01/07/16
On January 07, 2016 at about 1400 hrs, I had a call back to an Orcas resident regarding an ongoing civil matter with family members. A report was made to document these continued per her request.

On January 9, 2016, Lopez deputies took a report for a theft of an automotive part. Investigation is ongoing.

16-000141 Traffic Stop 01:01:16 01/09/16
On 01/09/16 a SJC Sheriff Deputy made a traffic stop in Eastsound. The driver was believed to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested for Driving Under the influence. She was processed and released with a promise to appear in court.

16-000145 Traffic Stop 14:52:40 01/09/16
A Deputy stopped a Lopez Island resident for failing to stop at a stop sign on 01/09/16 in the 4100 block of Center Road. The driver was issued a ticket for failing to stop and for not having a valid driver’s license and released.

16-000147 Wanted Person 15:40:47 01/09/16
On January 9, 2016, Lopez deputies contacted a wanted subject at his residence and arrested him without incident.

16-000155 Trespassing 16:40:51 01/10/16
On the evening of 01-10 a Friday Harbor resident returned home and found someone had entered the home, cooked some food they brought, watched something on the big screen TV and then left. Nothing was taken or damaged. Homeowners suspects it is Seahawks playoff related. Investigation continues.

January 10, a Lopez Island deputy checked on a van parked after hours at Agate Beach Park.

A wallet was turned in the Dispatch with ID and debit cards, no cash. An attempt was made to contact the owner by phone, but it may be an old number. I will make a further attempt by mail to contact the owner, and the wallet and contents will be held for 90 days as required by law, and then destroyed if unclaimed.

16-000173 Animal at Large 21:18:17 01/11/16
On 1-11-16 at 2118 hours a Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a dog at large. The dog was brought to the animal shelter.

16-000187 Domestic Dispute or Assault 18:28:21 01/12/16
January 12, a 44 year old Lopez Island man was arrested on a charge of domestic violence after deputies were called on a reported disturbance aboard a boat in a Lopez marina. The man was also held on an outstanding arrest warrant from Kitsap County. He was lodged in jail pending a court appearance.
