A Friday Harbor Deputy arrested a Friday Harbor resident with two outstanding warrants. The subject was booked into jail and a report completed.
18-000237 Found Property 10:39:42 01/10/18
A deputy responded to a call of a found bike at a local business in Friday Harbor. The deputy recovered the bike and was unable to locate an owner. The bike was submitted as found property into the property room and a report was made.
18-000243 Animal at Large 16:00:49 01/10/18
A Lopez Island deputy was called to pick up a dog that was running at large on the south end. The dog had no tags or identifying info, so it was taken to the kennel until it is claimed.

Deputies investigated a report of malicious mischief at a residence in Friday Harbor. Investigation continues.

A deputy was contacted in reference to a Juvenile Problem. The caller reported that her granddaughter had not returned home. Thereporting deputy was able to locate the juvenile and return her home.

A deputy was contacted at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to a Runaway Juvenile. The parent reported that her daughter had not returned home by her curfew. A juvenile pick up order was completed.

A deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The deputy arrived and contacted the involved persons. After interviewing all involved, the incident was found to be verbal only. The involved persons agreed to leave each other alone for the night.

A Lopez resident turned in a dog he had found running loose in the Lopez Hill preserve area. Deputies contacted the Lopez Animal Protection Society, and the dog’s person was located.
18-000311 Malicious Mischief 10:21:43 01/14/18
A Deputy responded to a report of a Vandalism at Brickworks in Friday Harbor. There are no witnesses and no suspect information at this time. Report made and investigation ongoing.
18-000314 Aircraft Problem 16:20:02 01/14/18
Deputies responded to a plane crash at F.H. Airport. A single engine plane with one person aboard had landed on the grass 120 yards short of the runway and slid for 100 yards, tearing off the wheels and causing extensive damage. The pilot received minor injuries and the plane was totalled.

A deputy responded to a walk in delayed report of a private property Hit & Run in Friday Harbor. The Deputy gathered the necessary information, gave the complainant the incident number, and completed a report. No evidence, witnesses, or video to investigate at this time.

A man turned in a car key/fob combo that he found along a gravel lane near Odlin Park on Lopez Island. The key had nothing else with it, and likely would cost $300-$400 to replace. The property is being held until claimed by the owner.

A Lopez deputy performed a welfare check at the request of a regional senior service center. The person was found to be in good health and did not require medical assistance.

A Lopez deputy investigated a disturbance at Otis Perkins Park. All involved parties were contacted and a report was completed.

Deputies responded to a Friday Harbor address for a dog complaint. The dog was already inside and found to have a proper dog run and water and food bowls. The owner stated their dog sitter had to leave early and placed the dog on the run until they could get home.

Deputies arrived at a residence in Friday Harbor to investigate a report of domestic disturbance. Deputies settled the matter by contact.
