A Deputy took a report of a hit and run vehicle collision that occurred on Orcas Island. The case is under further investigation.

20-001094 Domestic Dispute or Assault 19:08:28 02/13/20
San Juan Deputies were dispatched to a Domestic Assault in Progress. After further investigation the Suspect was taken into custody Burglary 1st Degree and Assault 4th Degree.

A Deputy was contacted that the Sheriff’s Office in reference to a Wanted Person. The person turned himself in on to outstanding local warrants. The person was taken into custody and booked on the warrants. Report taken.

A Deputy was dispatched to the San Juan Island area in reference to a Citizen Dispute. The reporting Deputy arrived and contacted the people involved. The incident was a verbal domestic and the people were separated. Report taken.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a complaint of missing property. The complainant was contacted and an investigation commenced.

Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Orcas Island. It was later discovered that no crimes were committed and the parties agreed to settle the situation civilly. An informational report taken.

An Orcas Deputy received a wallet that was turned in by a passerby at the sub-station. It has been processed per procedure.

A San Juan Deputy was conducting bar checks and found a female inside one of the bars who currently has conditions from being inside of bars or consuming alcohol. A report was completed and forwarded to the Probation officer.

A reporting Deputy was dispatched to a Civil Problem in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting Deputy contacted the people involved. There were no problems. Report taken.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called to check on a suspicious vehicle that had been repeatedly seen in a neighborhood throughout the day. The vehicle was gone when the Deputy arrived and did not return.

Orcas Deputies conducted and area search for a wanted person near Rohls Hill Road. The person was not found at this time.

Friday Harbor Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance. Deputies arrested a suspect for DUI. A DUI report was filed.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on North Beach Road. The investigation is ongoing. A report was taken.

Lopez Island Deputies investigated a reported violation of a Domestic Violence No Contact Order, and arrested the respondent of that order without incident. The subject was transported to Friday Harbor and booked into jail pending a court appearance.

20-001210 Citizen Dispute 11:41:46 02/17/20
A Deputy was contacted in reference to Citizen Dispute in the San Juan Island. The incident involved boundary issue. The involved people were contacted. All agreed to stay off the other’s property. Report taken.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called to euthanize an injured deer that had apparently been struck by a vehicle.

Deputies on San Juan responded to a trespassing in progress. The suspect was contacted and was issued a notice of trespass warning letter.

20-001221 Accident-Injury, Traffic 20:29:39 02/17/20
Deputies on San Juan were dispatched to a single vehicle collision. The driver was arrested for DUI and issued an infraction for no insurance and wheels off roadway.

Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the Eastsound area. A report was taken.

A Deputy had phone contact with person reporting an Animal Cruelty incident. The caller advised her cat had been shot. Report taken.

A Deputy took a report of a physical altercation at a road construction site between a civilian and a worker on the site. The case is under investigation.

20-001233 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 12:52:58 02/18/20
A Lopez Island Deputy was contacted about a neighbor dispute. The reporting party asked that the others involved be trespassed from their property in the future. Trespass Warning Letters were issued.

A Lopez Island Deputy was send to check for a large dog running at large on Center Rd. No dog was located in the area.

An Orcas Deputy responded to a vandalism call near Map Corner. Photographs and a report were taken. No suspects at this time.
