Lopez Deputies were notified of a possible incident of child abuse. Child Protective Services conducted an investigation.

A Deputy responded to an agency assist at the hospital. The person involved was located and admitted for medical treatment. Report made and forwarded to Adult Protective Services.

A Deputy responded to a medical issue at the Sheriff’s Office involving an inmate. The subject was transported to the hospital for medical treatment and a report made.
19-002903 Vicious Animal 21:34:52 04/24/19
Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to an active dog fight. Orcas Fire responded to the scene to evaluate one of the owners who had been bitten multiple times. The investigation in ongoing. A report was taken.

A Deputy on San Juan responded to a call about an animal at large. The Deputy was able to contact the owner of the dog and reunite them.

A Deputy responded to a trespassing complaint. A trespass letter was generated and will be served to the individual to be trespassed when he is located. Report made.
19-002913 Accident-NonInj 13:52:17 04/25/19
An Orcas Deputy responded to an accident with no injuries near Olga. The at fault driver was issued infractions for no proof of insurance, wheels left of center and improper display of tabs. A report was taken.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of graffiti. The incident was documented.
19-002937 Wanted Person 11:28:11 04/26/19
A Lopez man was arrested for a local warrant. Bail was posted and the man was released pending further court action.
19-002950 Harassment 17:38:20 04/26/19
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to an illegal camping complaint on Tower Drive. The owner of the RV stated he was not aware that it was illegal to park his RV in the village and sleep in it over night. He located an alternate location and moved. A verbal warning was given and a report was completed.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a burglary complaint. The victim was contacted and an investigation commenced.

A Deputy on Orcas Island assisted Orcas Towing with a vehicle recovery.
19-002982 Boating Problem 14:48:09 04/27/19
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a report of a disabled and drifting boat. The vessel was located and identified. The Unites States Coast Guard was able to hail the vessel. They reported having engine problems, but were not in need of assistance.

A debit card was found in Lopez Village and turned in to the Sheriff’s Office.

A Lopez Island Deputy received a credit card that had been found in the parking lot of a Lopez Village business. A found property report was taken.

A Deputy was dispatched to an Order Violation in the Friday Harbor area. The involved persons were contacted. Report taken.

An Orcas Deputy was dispatched to a theft call near Olga. A farm stand cash box was broken into and the contents were taken. No suspects at this time.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a citizen dispute. The dispute had been resolved prior to the Deputy’s arrival.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a Hit and Run complaint. The victim was contacted and an investigation commenced.
19-003047 Unconscious ALS 11:46:21 04/29/19
Orcas Island Sheriff’s Aid units responded to a report of an unconscious person in a vehicle.
19-003048 Animal at Large 12:23:29 04/29/19
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of a dog running at large. The Deputy checked the area but was unable to locate the dog.
19-003054 Welfare Check 15:29:38 04/29/19
A San Juan Deputy responded to a welfare check. The subject was taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation.
19-003059 Malicious Mischief 17:14:34 04/29/19
A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to a reported vandalism to a vehicle . A report was taken.
19-003061 Boating Problem 17:48:00 04/29/19
Orcas Deputies received a report of a vessel that had run aground. Further investigation revealed that the operator of the vessel was believed to be impaired and had a warrant for his arrest. The subject was arrested and booked into jail without incident.
19-003069 Juvenile Problem 20:22:24 04/29/19
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a juvenile problem. The juvenile was interviewed with no further action taken.

A Deputy responded to a delayed report of a theft on San Juan Island. The caller reported items missing from her residence and believes her ex-boyfriend is responsible. Report made. Investigation ongoing.
19-003083 Recovered Stolen Vehicle 09:08:58 04/30/19
Vehicle stolen from senior center. Found abandoned in field the next morning. Towed to Orcas Substation, processed for evidence and released to owner.

A Lopez Island resident called with questions regarding the transfer of firearms.

A Deputy responded to a delayed walk in report of a hit and run that occurred four days ago. There are no witnesses, evidence, or video of the incident and a report was requested for insurance. Report made.
