Sharon Abreu to sing from a varied repertoire on Saturday, Sept. 21

Delight in Sharon Abreu’s “Sun, Moon, Stars & Rainbows:  Classical songs and arias to delight and inspire,” at Orcas Center on Saturday, September 21 at 7:30 pm.

Orcas Center welcomes back to the center stage our very own Orcas classical soprano, Sharon Abreu. Sharon will offer a celestial array of songs and arias in English, Italian, French, German, and Spanish, from Mozart, Beethoven and Puccini, to Samuel Barber and Jake Heggie.

Special guests, including Grace McCune, Craig and Cynthia Abolin, Bill Griswald, Pamela Wright, Mike Hurwitz (with whom she’ll sing two most recognizable duets form Mozart’s “Magic Flute”), Linda Slone  and Sasha Hagen,  will join Sharon for some duets and ensembles and Marianne Lewis will accompany on the piano.

Sharon has sung as a soloist with Orchestra Seattle and the Seattle Chamber Singers, and with the Orcas Choral Society. She also starred in the musical “The Taffetas” at Orcas Center and has performed in the One World Music Festivals.
