Newest numbers. The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) reported a total of 701,158 confirmed cases as of 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 15. There have been 9,653 COVID-19 deaths in Washington.

Data note: On Dec. 9, DOH began using new race and ethnicity information received from laboratories conducting COVID-19 testing, to enhance the race and ethnicity information on the DOH dashboard for cases, hospitalizations and deaths.
COVID-19 outbreaks traced to high school wrestling tournaments. DOH and local health jurisdictions are investigating multiple outbreaks of COVID-19 among vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, connected to high school wrestling tournaments. Read the full news release.

As of Dec. 13, a total of 26,939 COVID-19 cases and 3,210 deaths have been identified as associated or likely associated with a long-term care facility (such as nursing home, assisted living facility, or adult family home).
