As I understand it, the OIMF has been funded for years by community contributions which were used to buy the land and build the OIMC. If that’s the case, why is the new Hospital District forced to BUY the land and buildings from OIMF?
For what purposes will the OIMF use the purchase price (from taxpayers’ money), now that we have a public district (one that OIMF folks lobbied hard to create) addressing health care needs? Why would it not simply donate the assets and close down?
Is there really supposed to be a 350 CHARACTER limit on posts now? Seems little better than Twitter, which is not a good model for rational communication, IMO.
Good points — Peg are you volunteering to be the moderator of this active forum? Quality not quantity
Consider that character limits might be imposed when some commenters abuse the forum by writing rambling novels, rather than following the advice of many talented people, one being FDR, who said “Be sincere, Be brief, Be seated.”.
