— from Jacqueline Kempfer —
A vision of florals, birds, abstracts, and lettering in the lines, colors and contrasts of the printmaking art awaits visitors to the Lundeen Room this month.
This exhibit, presented by the Visual Arts Committee of the Orcas Senior Center (Jacqueline Kempfer, Suzanne Lamb, Rosemarie Altberg and Robbie Walker) was curated by member Rosemarie Altberg.
As a printmaker herself, Rosemarie was excited to present such a comprehensive exhibit of the art of print making with examples, not only from local artists, but from celebrated print makers of the past. She has included works of lithography, silkscreen, etching, woodcut, intaglio, monotype, collagraph and mezzotint.
The local print makers are Rosemarie Altberg, Tina Brown, Susan Carson, Mary Crosten, Eduardo Fausti, Rosemarie Kimball, Pat Littlewood , Peter Schultz and Susan Slapin.
The exhibit also includes prints from Lionel Barrymore, Robert A. Nelson, Jack Coughlin and M. Ferguson from the private collection of Jacqueline Kempfer.
The public is invited to view this exhibit from July 18th – September 6th in the Lundeen Room of the Orcas Senior Center(62 Henry Road, Eastsound) Monday – Friday 9am – 4pm.
