Seniors on Orcas Island now have access to home health services formerly provided through Islands Home Health. The new agency, Alpha Home Health, is a state licensed, Medicare certified Home Health Agency providing quality health care in the comfort of your home. Referrals are generally made by your local medical provider or as follow up to leaving the hospital. The company accepts payment through Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and several private insurance companies.
Nancy Howk, RN, is Director of Clinical Services for Alpha Home Health. On July 16 at 3 p.m. at the Senior Center, Nancy will outline the services offered, including: disease-specific care and teaching, medication management and wound care as well as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and medical social work.
Everyone is welcome to attend, especially seniors, family members, caregivers and providers in order to ask questions, discuss, and learn more. The session is free, but please call Orcas Senior Center (360.376.2677) to reserve your seat.
