Monday, October 28, 5 p.m., Eastsound Fire Station

— from Dwight Guss for Port of Orcas —

The Port Master Plan meeting that was scheduled for Monday October 28 has been canceled due to a conflict with the Health Care Meeting on that same date. I will notify all when a new meeting date has been determined.

The Port of Orcas is currently preparing a master plan for Orcas Island Airport that will guide the direction of projects to bring the airport into compliance with safety standards for existing airport operations and to provide for the future needs of island residents and visitors over the next 20 years.  The project will be wrapping up and publishing a draft report in the coming months.

The Airport Master Plan Team will be presenting an update on the status of the project and next steps to the Port Commissioners at a special meeting on October 28 at 5 p.m. at the Eastsound Fire Station at 45 Lavender Ln, Eastsound, WA 98245.

For more information about the project, the alternative options, and the project schedule please visit http://www.portoforcas.com/master-plan/ .
