The Orcas Island Park and Rec District (OIPRD) Commissioners are seeking a small office space within walking distance of Eastsound. They also anticipate needing part-time administrative support from someone willing and able to work as an independent contractor. Both services will be needed between June 2011 and May 2012 only.
Because permanent funding for OIPRD will not be distributed until May of 2012 the Park and Rec District commissioners will be assuming managerial tasks for the District in lieu of hiring permanent staff during this interim period. If a small office space can be found for an appropriate price, a part-time, contracted service would be used to provide very basic office support for limited Park and Rec District operations. The District is willing to consider sharing office space with a person or organization willing to work as an independent contractor.
