No detours or delays on Saturday, Sunday
— from Shannon Wilbur, San Juan County Public Works —
Nordstroms Lane is now open with a new intersection. No more twisting your neck to look behind your shoulder to gauge if it is safe to pull onto Orcas Road. The reconfigured intersection is now open to traffic with increased sight distance for drivers’ safety. More work in the area still to come, but no more closures are planned here.
The contractor is now working east toward Swan Road to begin clearing and excavation for the new road curve at that location.
Work zone, with traffic control, will continue the week of April 29 with clearing and road excavation near Swan Road.
DO NOT RUN THROUGH THE RED LIGHT! Traffic fines are doubled in the construction zone. Wait time will not exceed six minutes.

Has the County stopped diverting stormwater onto the farmland there and returned it to its original path?
