What kind of music do you like?
I enjoy most music, depends what I’m doing and what I’m in the mood for at the time.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Firefighter and farmer
If you could do anything now, what would you do? Why?
I would buy land back east and start a farm where I can teach people about the outdoors and sustainable farming. I think it’s important to teach children and adults about the outdoors and also how to grow/raise your own food.
Do you have any favorite stories from your work life?
For a year, I climbed trees for a tree company and was able to climb over 100 feet in the air daily to witness some of the most beautiful and peaceful views of Washington.
Did you ever see yourself living on an island?
No, I never saw myself moving out of the Midwest, let alone living on an island.
What do you like the most about living on Orcas?
I really enjoy the small town community feeling I get from the island.
