Saturday, March 21, 2015, 1 p.m. sharp, Turtleback Preserve
— from Tanya Williamson, San Juan County Land Bank —
Bring your family, bring your friends for a 5 mile “Up and Over” hike on the San Juan County Land Bank’s Turtleback Mountain Preserve!
The hike begins promptly at 1 p.m. at the South Trailhead parking area (Deer Harbor Rd./Wild Rose Lane). A Camp Orkila bus will transport hikers to the North Trailhead, then it’s “up and over” the mountain on a 5 mile hike back to your car. And, if the views and comradery weren’t incentive enough, for every person who completes the hike, Orcas Island Community Foundation will contribute $5 to the Orcas Youth Conservation Corp!
Be sure to dress for the weather, bring water/snacks and, most importantly, friends!
Join us to celebrate spring and Turtleback Mountain Preserve. This is not a race. Travel at your own pace—encouragement provided!
Please call Tanja at 360-370-7655 for more information.
