Local award-winning magician Matthew Laslo makes his annual return to the Sea View Theatre stage as a part of the island’s July 4th festivities. He’s back home with new illusions and stories from his world travels.

He will perform “Magic Now” on July, 6, 7, and 8 at 7:30 p.m. The box office will open one hour before showtime. Tickets are $15 at Darvill’s Bookstore and online at www.matthewlaslo.com or by calling Brown Paper Tickets (800) 838-3006. A pre-show BBQ with hot dogs, hamburgers, veggies options all with the “works” will begin at 5 p.m.

Seventeen-year-old Laslo is one of the youngest magicians on the international circuit. He has been performing since the age of seven and locals fondly remember him as Matthew the Magician. He is an accomplished performer who brings a youthful, innovative approach to the art of magic. At 15 years old, Laslo made his national television debut on CW network’s “Penn and Teller: Fool Us” and impressed the duo with his originality and showmanship.” In January of 2018, he was invited to perform for Chinas #1 television show, “The Amazing Magicians,” where he wowed 270 million viewers.

Magic Now is Laslo’s current illusion show has both close-up and grand illusions and is filled with humor, awe, and wonder with lots of audience participation. It’s great for the entire family. Joining him is his lovely and talented assistant Maria Bullock.

“I think it’s important for people to believe that anything is possible and be inspired to dream big. I hope that my show will do that,” Laslo said.
