On an island such as ours~
Those are the words that come to mind for each of us and, we imagine, for every island non-profit during the times of year when key events and activities are happening.
It is because of an island “such as ours” that Orcas Island has become both the destination for many and the proud home for residents where the creation of a summer Chamber Music Festival can happen. A place where the excellence of artistry, stellar performance by musicians of international acclaim, abundant ticket purchases, generous gifts of donors and visitors from near and far, and tremendous volunteer support of individuals and businesses come together to make “Classical Music with a View” a reality.
It is uniquely remarkable. The strength of support is once again demonstrated during these three weeks in August through the standing ovation applause heard throughout this 16th Festival season. That applause is meant for all of you who are the foundation and the future of the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival.
