A lot of people have been asking me why all of the Port Commissioner candidates are not on the ballot.
A primary ballot is required any time there are more than two candidates for a given position. On the current ballot you will see three candidates for Position 1: Heidi Lapuzza, Clyde Duke and Pierrette Guillmond. Heidi LaPuzza withdrew after the official deadline. The rest of the positions have only two candidates each, all vying for your votes come November.
