— from George Eberle —

“We the People” is the cornerstone of our constitution. We get to decide what is important and what can wait for another day.

My involvement started when I went to a school board meeting. We were seated at different tables and asked to prioritize what was important. We were informed of the costs of each item that we wanted on this bond. It was interesting to see what came in, safety, maintenance, heating and potholes. Then came the Wish List, an enlarged weight room, a completely new music room and a new track ($1,000,000 has been pledged). I am personally for all three. These enhancements will have a positive effect on the majority of the children as they progress from Kindergarten to Graduation.

I have visited other Washington High Schools and have seen what a state of the art facility looks like, well maintained and lined track, football, soccer and baseball fields.Visiting the University of Washington on High School Band Day was an incredible sight to behold! There were multicolored bands from end zone to end zone.

We have made several terrific improvements in the last few years thanks to realistic bonds. There is still more work to be done. If we want our children to respect and be proud of their school we must provide that school. These enhancements and additions can change lives for the better now and into the future.

“We the People” can do this.
