— from Carl Owens —
I have been trying to find info about this wonderful dog, called everyone I could think of, with no result. Maybe you can help, by asking your readers?
The School has a ceremony honoring Vets this Friday morning. I want that dog to be there to receive the commemoration along with us other veterans.
I have seen him with his family, a tall thin man, and I think he has a physically disabled little daughter…the dog is either a Shepherd or Belgian Malinois, wears a vest, and is intent about his job of protecting his family.
We have a couple more days, if you can help, I would be so grateful.
Marsha Waunch has told me that Peter and Joyce Schultz also have a military dog, here on Orcas, but we can’t find Peter’s info either!
Thanks so much for your good work.

I am not sure if this is about our dog Al? I and my partner Jim have a shepherd who is an Orphan of the Storm. Al is truly our hero, his story is amazing. I went to pawkis today to get Al some treats and toys,Deb told me about the ceremony and I was so sad we missed it. It’s confidential where Al served with his human solder but they have all of his ” missions” on file
