How long have you lived on Orcas or did you just move here? Have you visited the Orcas Island Historical Museums? Are you interested in Orcas Island History and meeting people? Did you know that the Orcas Island Historical Museum docents shared our history with over 10,500 visitors from 48 states and 26 countries in 2017 and it looks like those numbers will increase for 2018!
A docent is the first person a visitor encounters as they enter one of the historical museums. Your smile and friendliness are the most important requirements. Most of the shifts are 1½ to 3 hours and days are flexible. The Pioneer Museum in Eastsound is open every month except for January and the Crow Valley School Museum is open Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.
