Geoffrey Godfrey

To start off Health and Wellness Week at Orcas Island Library, the public is invited to join pain specialist Geoffrey Godfrey to learn different ways to control pain without medication. Godfrey’s presentation will take place in the meeting room of the public library from 10 – 11 a.m. on Monday, June 9. In addition to pain management, information on an anti-inflammatory diet will also be covered.

Godfrey brings extensive training and experience in pain management, palliative and other high-risk patient care. He currently provides services at the Center for Pain Management and Supportive Care at Island Hospital. Previously, Godfrey served as President of Strategic Pain Solutions and as a nurse practitioner consultant for several physician practices in Arizona, where he also was Director of Clinical Science and Research at OPC Pharmacy. He has worked as a pain management nurse practitioner and a palliative care specialist at The Pain Center, Phoenix, AZ and at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

All programs during Health and Wellness Week are provided free of charge and are open to everyone. Stop by the library for a full schedule, and “like” us on Facebook to get daily updates!
