||| FROM BILL SYMES for ISLANDS’ OIL SPILL ASSOCIATION |||

IOSA staff, volunteers, and board members welcome the Orcas community to an IOSA Community Forum for an evening of facts, fun, and refreshments. Find out what IOSA has been up to recently, how we act as first responders and support government and private sector actors to protect island shores and waters, chat with some of our staff and local volunteers, and maybe win a prize! Eastsound Fire Station, October 28, 2024, 4:30 – 6:30 PM.

For almost forty years, Islands’ Oil Spill Association (IOSA) has been protecting the shores and waters of the San Juan Islands from oil spill pollution. Come enjoy some light refreshments and mingle with IOSA Staff, Board and Tier One Volunteers of Orcas Island at Eastsound Fire Station October 28, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM for a community forum on Orcas.

IOSA Executive Director Elaina Thompson will speak about what IOSA has been up to these past couple years and where IOSA is headed in the future. A Trivia Challenge will give you a chance at winning a prize, and a panel of staff, board members, and volunteers will answer your questions about local response, preparedness and resilience. We look forward to seeing you on the 28th!
